Sprint

This year we will be holding separate men’s and women’s races again. The new race format will allow people to support their partners, family and friends of the opposite gender while also being able to compete in the sprint triathlon themselves.

Entries open soon.

swim

swim 750m

The course will be an open water swim in the crystal clear waters of Jervis Bay. Commencing with a deep water start at White Sands Beach, competitors will complete a 1 lap course. Competitors will then leave the shore and run up to the transition area.

bike

bike 20km

The cycle leg will be an out and back course from Huskisson. The majority of the Bike Course will have "road restrictions" allowing for a safe and challenging ride. Competitors will leave the township of Huskisson heading inland on an 80% flat and 20% undulating course. After exiting the water, athletes will run up the southern stairs from the beach onto the footpath and continue to the bike compound.
Athletes will commence the Bike Course at the northern end of White Sands Park, at the official bike mount line marked on Bowen St. They must walk their bike within the compound and only mount at this line.

Ladies

They will turn RIGHT onto Hawke St, LEFT into Owen St and continue to the Sydney St intersection and turn RIGHT onto Sydney St. Cyclists will proceed along Sydney St and then turn right into Woollamia Rd and proceed along Woollamia Rd. At the end of Woollamia Rd competitors will turnaround the marker and head back to Huskisson along the same route.

Men

The men will mount their bikes on Bowen St continue onto Fegen St, turn RIGHT onto Nowra St, turn RIGHT onto Hawke St, LEFT into Owen St and continue to the Sydney St intersection and turn RIGHT onto Sydney St. Cyclists will proceed along Sydney St and then turn right into Woollamia Rd and proceed along Woollamia Rd. At the end of Woollamia Rd competitors will turnaround the marker and head back to Huskisson. The men will turn LEFT into Bowen St to re enter transition not needing to go around the block as they do to start the bike leg. At that intersection the cyclists will turn LEFT into Bowen St and then to the transition area at the White Sands Park, where they dismount their bikes and commence the run leg.

run

run 5km

On completion of the bike leg, competitors will exit the transition area in White Sands Park and run an out and back course along the footpath / cycleway that snakes along the foreshore of Jervis Bay (RUNNERS KEEP RIGHT OF PATH). The gentle ocean breeze that wisps across the bay will be a delight to competitors as they set out to chase their dreams, beat their mates, or just finish yet another race.
