The following options are available and are the recommended locations:
Do not park on Wugan Street, as this stretch is being used for the Finishing Line
If you use any of the Business car parks along Wugan Street, exit will be blocked for the duration of the Event, no exceptions.
Both events will start and finish at Wugan Street, Yerriyong (Albatross Aviation Park) and cyclists will ride on Braidwood Road (MR92).
For Saturday’s race the course will be set between Gannet Road, Nowra Hill and a turnaround point approximately 4km southwest of Turpentine Road.
For Sunday’s races the south-western turnaround point will be set just past Sassafras.
With Saturdays race being a teams (of 4) time trial and Sunday’s race being graded scratch event cyclists will be only be in small groups and therefore no road closures are required.
However, there will be a 60km/h speed restrictions in place and drivers are requested to be patient and cautious when overtaking cyclist.
Cyclist will be warming up, racing and cooling down from approximately 9:00am through to 3:30pm along Braidwood Road on both days.
On 21 st August, 2016, Huskisson host the 2016 Huskisson Running Festival organised by Elite Energy and supported by Shoalhaven City Council, NSW Police, Athletics Australia, Local Businesses and many “Not- for-Profit” Community Groups.
The following information is designed to minimise the impact this event has on residents. Attached are road closure notifications outlining the road closures and effected times that will be in place on this day.
Also attached are a list of guidelines that residents and guests will be required to follow if they wish to use any of the closed roads.

GUIDELINES FOR RESIDENTS AND GUESTS
Please ensure that anyone travelling on the closed roads follows the guidelines listed below.
NOTE: Failure to follow these guidelines may result in details being given to police to be followed up after the event.
When travelling on Closed Roads, all drivers MUST:
1. Remember that runners have right of way on the closed roads at all times.
2. All roads will have a speed limit no greater than 60 Km/hr.
3. Obey all speed reductions and travel at the reduced speed.
4. Vehicles must not overtake runners unless it is entirely safe to do so.
5. When it is safe to overtake, the driver must ensure that there are no oncoming runners or vehicles on the opposite side of the road.
Vehicles will be stopped by Authorised Traffic Controllers when attempting to enter Closed Roads.
6. Inform Traffic Controllers of where they intend to travel.
7. Use an alternative route if one is provided by a Volunteer Marshal or Authorised Traffic Controller.
8. Follow all direction provided to them by an Authorised Traffic Controller.
9. Expect delays, Traffic Controllers will allow vehicles to enter the road closures when it is deemed safe to do so.
NOTE: Any vehicle identified as not obeying these guidelines will be reported to police for further action to be taken.

Canberra Triathlon Festival, Saturday, 16th January 2016
CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
On Saturday, 16th January 2016, Canberra will host the Canberra Triathlon Festival. The Festival is being organised by Elite Energy Pty Ltd, includes six(6) triathlons on the Saturday, running from 7:00am – 1:00pm (approx).
The Event will be centered at the Rond Terrace, Parkes Way. The Course Bike leg will use Parkes Way. The Run leg will use R G Menzies Walk.

Closure of the car park at the Huskisson Hotel is requested from approx 5:00 am Wednesday 15th February to approx 5:00 pm Monday 20th February, 2017, to accommodate emergency vehicles, vendors vehicles, VIP and Staff vehicles, Media and Technical Official vehicles etc. Marquee constructions will also take place to accommodate the event expo, registration tent and food vendors.

Closure of first 5 car-parking spots on the eastern side of Hawke St from Owen St – 6 am Wednesday 15th February, 2017 through to 6:00 pm Sunday 19th February, 2017, for the setup of the Shimano Trailer.

Closure of all car-parking spots on the eastern side of Hawke St from Owen St to Bowen St – 6 am Thursday 16th February, 2017 through to 6:00 pm Sunday 19th February, 2017, for the setup of crowd control barricades, food stalls, St Johns First Aid Van & Shimano Trailer.
Friday 17th February 2017.
The only event planned for this day is the Bay Swim Classic. This swim will be conducted entirely at Sharknet Beach.
Closure of Bowen St from Fegen St to Hawke St from 8 am Friday 17th February, 2017 through to 6:00 pm Sunday 19th February, 2017, for the setup of an additional transition area and bike racks.
Closure of nine (9) car-parking spots at the eastern end of Owen St (3 on the southern side and 6 on the northern side adjacent the Huskisson Hotel) from 6 am Friday 17th February, 2017 through to 6:00 pm Sunday 19th February, 2017, for the setup of crowd control barricades.
Temporary closure of car-parking spots on the western side of Hawke St from Owen St to Bowen St – 6:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday 17th February, 2017 for the setup of crowd control barricades. As soon as the barricades are set vehicles will be able to park along this side of Hawke St.

The following road closures and restrictions will be required for Saturday 18th February 2017:-
Closure of all car-parking spots on Hawke St and Owen St from Currambene St to Bowen St – 5:00 am to 6:30 pm Saturday 18th February, 2017 and 5:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday 19thFebruary, 2017, for the running of the scheduled events.
Total road closure of Owen St from the roundabout to Sydney St and Hawke St from the roundabout at Owen St to the intersection of Bowen St from 5:00 am through to completion of the triathlon of the day, the 7 – 9 year olds event at approx 3:00 pm.
Total road closure of Owen St from the roundabout through to a point just east of the bottle-shop entrance and Hawke St from the roundabout at Owen St to the intersection of Bowen St from 5:00 am through to completion of the last event of the day.
Sydney St and Tomerong St, from Owen St to Woollamia Rd, will have limited access to ALL traffic during the Sprint, Enticer and MINIMAN (10 – 11 yrs) triathlons from 6:00 am – 2:45 pmand from Owen St to Dent St from 2:45 – 3:45 pm for the MINIMAN (7 – 9 yrs) triathlon (this closure will allow the young cyclist to safely complete a U turn at the turnaround point on Tomerong St, just east of Dent St).
During the cycle legs of the Sprint, Enticer, and MINIMAN (10 – 11 yrs) events (7:00 am – 2:45 pm), Woollamia Rd, from Jervis Bay Rd to Huskisson Rd, to be closed to ALL traffic except emergency and official vehicles and local residents. All traffic, other than emergency and official vehicles and local residents, will not be able to enter Woollamia Rd from Jervis Bay Rd during the above mentioned period. All other traffic will be diverted down Jervis Bay Rd to Huskisson Rd for access to Huskisson.
Sunday 19th February 2017.
The only event on this day is the Long Course Triathlon – (6:35am – 4:30pm)
ALL vehicles entering the Jervis Bay area along Jervis Bay Rd from the Princes Hwy will be diverted down Woollamia Rd for further direction.
Road Closure (Emergency vehicles exempt) is requested for the entire cycle course (Owen St, Sydney St, Tomerong St, Woollamia Rd, Jervis Bay Rd, The Wool Rd, Beach St, Elizabeth Dr, Beach St, Burrill St, Keppel St, and Hawke St, left hand side only in the direction (anti-clockwise) of the cyclists) from 6:30 am until approx 3:30 pm (Sunday 19thFebruary 2017) except as detailed below. Vehicles travelling to Huskisson or Vincentia from the Princes Highway will be diverted along Woollamia Rd with cyclist riding in the opposite direction.
Total road closure of Owen St from the roundabout to Currenbene St is requested for the period of 5:00 am Sunday 19th February 2017 to completion of the last cyclist heading out for final lap (approx 2:30 pm).
Total road closure of Hawke St from the roundabout at Owen St to the intersection of Bowen St is requested for the period of 5:00 am Sunday 19th February 2017 to completion of final lap by the last cyclist (approx 2:30 pm).
Vehicles required to leave Huskisson north of Moona Moona Creek will be diverted through back streets and enter Tomerong St from Park St. The section of road way on Tomerong Rd from Park St. will have a separate lane marked by orange cones for cyclists to turn right into Woollamia Rd while traffic will remain in the left lane and be directed to the end of Huskisson Rd where they will be controlled and directed to turn right ONLY into Jervis Bay Rd. across the line of cyclists.
