Get ready to race in the Nation’s capital as Elite Energy deliver the Canberra Triathlon Festival.This year’s Standard distance triathlon is a National Standard Triathlon Qualifying race and ‘Age Group ITU World Championship Qualifying Race. Your finishing position will determine the number of selection points that you receive giving you points to represent Australia at the Gold Coast in 2018.
Promising a huge day of racing with several events to choose from, this is the perfect chance to either tackle a tri for the first time or gain some points as part of the 17/18 tri-series.
The event will consist of our most popular distances – the Standard, Sprint, Super Sprint (Enticer) and Buddy up.

This event holds valuable qualification points for the 2018 Age Group World Championships! You can race for points towards selection onto TEAM AUSTRALIA at the GOLD COAST for the WORLD TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Event HQ will be located at Rond Terrace, Cnr Parkes Way and Anzac Parade, PARKES, ACT.
Below is a list of the best parking for the event – these car parks are also free on weekends. You can view a parking map here.
1.CIT Carpark: Cnr of Parkes Way & Coranderrk St – take walkway underpass to Event.
2.Anzac Park East: Cnr Parkes Way & Anzac Parade – take walkway underpass to Event.
3.Kings Park: Cnr Parkes Way & Kings Avenue – take footpath to Event.
Note: Rond Terrace Carpark will be closed.
From Sydney – Canberra is the closest capital to Sydney and will take you about 3.5hrs in the car to get there.
Depart Sydney via the M5 tollway, connecting to Hume Highway 31. Turn left after Goulburn on to the Federal Highway to Canberra. This route is a dual carriage freeway.
From Melbourne – Canberra will take you about 8 hours but offers all the pleasure of country driving and city conveniences.
Follow the City Link tollway to the western ring road then join the Hume Highway. Near Yass, take the Barton Highway A25 turn off to Canberra. This route is a dual carriage freeway.
From the NSW, South Coast – Direct driving route is approximately 2.5 hours.
Take the Kings Highway to Queanbeyan and continue on to Canberra. This route includes single carriage highway.

CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
On Saturday, 3rd February 2018, Canberra will host the Canberra Triathlon Festival. The Festival is being organised by Elite Energy Pty Ltd, includes six (6) triathlons on the Saturday, running from 6:30am – 2:00pm (approx).
The Event will be centred at the Rond Terrace, Parkes Way. The Course Bike leg will use Parkes Way. The Run leg will use R G Menzies Walk.
