Surf Life Saving Australia

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is a highly federated and geographically dispersed corporate body with several organisational layers incorporating 305 local surf lifesaving clubs, 17 regional branches in NSW and Queensland, and seven state and territory centres. With more than 111,364 members, of whom more than 34,000 actively patrol over 400 beaches, SLSA is one of the largest volunteer organisations in Australia. The organisation's motto is "Vigilance and Service".

State Emergency Services

The NSW State Emergency Service is volunteers excelling in emergency management. We are the response agency for floods, storms and tsunamis in NSW. More than 10,000 volunteers give up their time in 228 locations throughout NSW to assist their communities during floods, storms and other emergencies. For emergency help in floods and storms, call the SES on 132 500.
