Ultimate Yamba

Situated just a short 2hr drive from the Queensland border on the NSW North Coast, Maclean will be the event central hub for Ultimate Yamba Triathlon. Athletes will begin the much anticipated event in the South arm of the Clarence River, before heading out onto the 3 lap bike course along the waters edge of S Arm Road wrapping up with the exciting 3 lap run course throughout Maclean.

Yamba has a tonne of village charm, pristine beaches, national parks and award winning restaurants. Yamba is a unique holiday or lifestyle experience for the family, explore the myriad of waterways, stroll the uncrowded beaches, go swimming, fishing or surfing but most of all discover Yamba’s friendly hospitality.

swim 1.9km

Lap swim course starting at the Maclean rowing club. Athletes to take to the water in wave starts.


bike 83km

3 lap bike course along the waters edge. Flat, fast and scenic course heading over the heritage listed bridge.


run 21.1km

3 lap run course starting from Transition 2 in Maclean town Centre, heading along the waters edge.

  • This Event is part of the triSeries
  • All our Events are governed by Triathlon Australia Policy and Rules. Full details can be accessed as follows:
  • The Competitor Categories are as follows:
    • 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ :: triSeries points for individual Male & Female competitors
    • 14-15, 16-19 :: Junior Series points for individual Male & Female competitors
    • Male, Female & Mixed teams, Clydesdale & Athenas will be recognised on the podium and then we have ‘Race Ya Mates’ which has no podium prizes.
    • Age as of 31st December 2016
  • Request for withdrawal must be sent via email to our Athlete Services
  • Refer to the Refund & Transfer Policy for details
On Event Day
  • Collection of your Registration pack is compulsory for all individuals Entrants and only 1 representative from a team.
  • These can be collected from the Registration Marquee, located in Ford Park
  • Please check the Event Schedule for registration and transition opening times
  • Please bring Personal ID, TA membership if applicable
  • Junior athletes please bring your parent or guardian along with you

  • All place getters (1st, 2nd & 3rd) get medals

  • Results will be uploaded as soon as possible after the completion of the event.
