Standard (Qualifying Race)

Racing in the nation’s capital, the 2017 Standard distance triathlon is a National Standard Triathlon Qualifying race and ‘Age Group ITU World Championship Qualifying Race. Your finishing position will determine the number of selection points that you receive giving you points to represent Australia at Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Promising a huge day of racing, if you’re not looking to qualify for Worlds keep motivated and gain some points as part of the 16/17 triSeries.

Complete the 1.5km swim, 40km ride and 10km run right in the heart of the nation’s capital.

A flat swim by the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.

A flat fast three lap course along the closed roads of Parkes Way.

  • This Event is part of the triSeries
  • All our Events are governed by Triathlon Australia Policy and Rules. Full details can be accessed as follows:
  • The Competitor Categories are as follows:
    • 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ with triSeries points for individual Male & Female competitors
    • 15-19: Junior Series points for individual Male & Female competitors
    • Male, Female & Mixed teams, Clydesdale & Athena’s will be recognised on the podium and then we have ‘Race Ya Mate’ which has no podium prizes.
    • Age as of 31st December 2016
  • Request for withdrawal must be sent via email to our Athlete Services
  • Refer to the Refund & Transfer Policy for details
On Event Day
  • Collection of your Registration pack is compulsory for all individuals Entrants and only 1 representative from a team.
  • These can be collected from the Registration Marquee

  • Please bring Personal ID, TA membership if applicable
